We captured a black shadow in the basement. It comes from left to right - and goes behind the furnace. Ten seconds later it comes from the right to the left. We didn't see it until we reviewed the video.

History - Center Church, located six miles west of Portland on Highway 26, in Greene Township, Indiana served its small community for one-hundred and twenty-five years before closing its doors for good on December 31, 2017. Organized by Rev. D. A. Boyd in the spring of 1891 at the school house which stood where the church now stands, there were twenty-two charter members.
In 1896 the lot on which the schoolhouse stood was purchased and a church erected at the cost of $1,500 under the leadership of Rev. Thomas Coats. The men of the community did most of the work. It is unclear whether they demolished the old schoolhouse or remodeled it. Claims - The location has just recently been opened to paranormal investigators. Visitors and workers at the church have reported capturing intelligent EVP responses, hearing unidentified voices in conversation, and hearing phantom footsteps on the wooden floors. Investigation - We investigated Center Church in June, 2022. The church is small as you would expect an old country church to be. We placed two static night vision cameras in the sanctuary and two static night vision cameras in the basement where Sunday school and other functions were held. Pretty early on in the investigation the team started hearing the unidentified voices. Since we had parked our mobile command center very near the front door, we assumed it was the voices of our teammates outside that we were hearing. Later in the evening we came to realized that was not the case. We also had some rempod activity but by far our most impressive catch of the evening was the black shadow in the basement. We’re not sure what is going on at this little country church but it’s worth another visit! |
