The video below shows some activity on the Periscope 360 in the nurse's office.

History: Poasttown Elementary School in Butler County, Ohio was built in 1937 as part of the Madison Township school district, serving students in the small unincorporated community of Poast Town just north of Middletown. It closed in 2002 and is now a private residence.
Claims: Paranormal claims include hearing voices and phantom footsteps and the sound of desks being moved around. Why the building is haunted is unknown. One widely believed theory is that the land the school sits on was used to triage victims of a 1910 train wreck. While our research did verify that there were two fatal train wrecks – one in 1891 and one in 1910, both wrecks occurred just past the West Middletown train depot which was nearly 3 miles from where the school is located. It is unlikely victims would have been taken that far from the scene. Newspaper accounts at the time of the 1910 accident indicate that “the injured and dying were taken to police headquarters in Middletown, to physician’s offices and to various homes which were generously thrown open”. Our Fundings: We returned to Poasttown Elementary in May, 2020. The school hadn’t changed much in the 6 years since we first visited, except the music room and library has been turned into a creepy doll room. During our first investigation in 2014, our audio captured voices, doors slamming and footsteps in the gym and cafeteria and our video captured a mist in the nurse’s office. We were anxious to check out those same areas – and we were not disappointed! Again we captured unexplained voices and strange light anomalies and again had some interaction in the nurse’s office. Is Poasttown Elementary School haunted? Based on what we captured during two investigations 6 years apart – we have to say yes. |
