The video below shows one of several times the Periscope 360 was activated.
The video below shows one of the flashes of light captured on 3rd floor. We have slowed it down to make it easier to see.
The video below shows what we believe is spirit energy captured on the 3rd floor. There is dust, but this appears to be something else.

History – The Stone Mansion in Winchester, Indiana was built by General Asahel Stone in 1872. Except for the removal of several small cast iron porches when the present porch was added in 1905, and the removal of the dormers in the 1930s, the mansion is largely as it was in 1872. 95% of the original woodwork and all six of the marble fireplaces are still intact. General Stone also built 7 houses across the street from the mansion to house the workers who would eventually build his mansion – six of the homes stand today.
General Stone was born in 1817 near Marietta, Ohio and became an entrepreneur and politician elected to the Indiana general assembly in 1847 and to the Indiana state senate in 1860. Among other business holdings, he was president of the 1st National Bank in Winchester, general manager of the Winchester Wagon Works and a major stockholder in the Richmond and Grand Rapids RR. He earned the title of General when, in 1862 he was appointed by Indiana Governor Oliver P. Morton as State Quarter Master General. In 1837 he married Lydia Preston. They had no children. Both General and Mrs. Stone died in the mansion and are buried together in the nearby Fountain Park Cemetery. Claims – Volunteers claim to have seen a tall man dressed in blue pacing back and forth in General Stone's bedroom (General Stone himself was a very short man), shadow figures in the second floor curved hallway, hearing footsteps and voices and seeing full bodied apparitions on the grounds outside. Our Findings – We investigated the Stone Mansion on May 8, 2020. The day was fair, but a little cool with a high of 50° falling to 36° throughout the night. There was no precipitation and winds were from the NW at between 14-21 MPH. After setting up our static night vision cameras we began holding EVP sessions throughout the mansion. It didn't take long before the activity ramped up. We captured EVPs, had activity with the Periscope 360 and caught several light flashes - both with our own eyes and on video. We also heard disembodied voices saying complete sentences. We spent the night at the mansion, sleeping in our mobile command center. During the night, we were awoken by someone - or something - throwing rocks at the command center. Later in the evening, two investigators were sitting in their vehicle when the rock throwing started again. We investigated both times and were unable to find the source. Paranormal? We can't say for sure, however apparitions have been spotted by several witnesses in the area where we were parked. It was quite a night! This mansion is a hidden gem. We were awed by the fact that so much of the original structure remained intact. It was clear, despite the dust and construction debris, that no expense was spared when General Stone constructed his home. Is the General Stone Mansion haunted? Absolutely. While we did make direct contact with General Stone, and we believe his wife and niece also, we suspect there may be others haunting this beautiful mansion. We can't wait to go back! |
